About the Roundtable

The 6th CELC Roundtable adopts a different emphasis from her past symposia by focussing on further developing the scholarship capacity and engagement of participants in the area of English language teaching and learning. The term scholarship of teaching and learning is described by Shulman’s (2000) three standard markers of a teacher’s work : a) in becoming public/is publicized, b) is peer reviewed and critiqued, and c) is built upon by other teachers-scholars. Thus, this Roundtable aims at capacity and community building to enable ELT practitioners to engage in Shulman’s type of Scholarship of English Language Teaching at the university level.

This year’s Roundtable features keynote speaker, Professor Anne Burns, and invited speakers Professor Steve Walsh and Professor Eniko Csomay.
