The registration fee includes morning and afternoon tea breaks, lunches and conference materials.

Payment should follow online registration and can be made either online or through one of the payment modes detailed below.

Payment by Credit Card or Internet Banking
  1. Please leave your browser open after making payment until you get to see the payment receipt. Do not use BACK or RELOAD/REFRESH browser functions or CLOSE browser while using the service until the payment receipt or the Error page is displayed.

  2. For payment method Direct Debit via internet banking :
    • Browsers supported are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
    • Please disable pop-up blocker.

  3. For payment method Credit/Debit Card (VISA/Mastercard), a one-time password (OTP) would be required to authenticate the cardholder's identity. You will be redirected to a page to enter the OTP (which is issued by the card issuing bank to the cardholder by SMS or token) before payment can be completed. For cards issued outside Singapore, authentication or the issue of OTP may vary.

Payment Modes

All payments have to be made in Singapore Dollars.

Payment by Participants/Presenters

  • On-site payment during symposium (Credit Card/Cash)(Applicable to participants only)

Payment by Institution (cheque/bank draft/telegraphic transfer)
  • Participants will email the information required i.e. name and address of the institution, as well as the name of the person to whom the invoice should be sent.
  • Please include the FULL name of the participant(s).
  • CELC will send an invoice to the institution to facilitate payment.
  • A receipt to the institution will be emailed once the payment for the registration fee has been processed.
  • For MOE Singapore delegates, please email us for more details on the registration procedure.
Payment by Cheque/Bank Draft
  • Cheques / bank drafts should be made payable to "National University of Singapore"
  • Please include the following information on the back of the cheque/bank draft:
    • CELC Symposium
    • FULL name of the participant(s)
    • the registration ID.
  • Bank drafts must be drawn on a bank in Singapore.

Do state the invoice number on remitter detail in the TT application (under the message or instruction).

To ensure proper crediting in terms of payment, the participant/presenter should fax or mail the Telegraphic Transfer payment advice to the Centre for English Language Communication.

Payment at CELC

Cheques, bank drafts, and credit cards are accepted at the Centre before 20 May 2016. Our office is open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Payment at the Symposium site(Applicable to participants only)

Cash and credit cards are accepted at the registration table. Please note that the standard rate for individuals (i.e. $420) applies for on-site registration and/or payment. Payment should be made in Singapore dollars.

Withdrawal Policy

Cancellations must be sent in writing to the Symposium Secretariat.

Before 4 May 2016
A refund of the registration fee minus a S$100 administration charge.

After 4 May 2016
No refund will be made. However, a replacement is accepted but the application must be made in writing to the Symposium Secretariat.
