NUS ARTS FESTIVAL - MUSIC PICKS
NUS Arts Festival 2014 - CONSUMED presents an array of playful, whimsical and traditional music shows. Some of our CFA Music groups are venturing beyond the music genre to explore theatre and dance to give audience a delightful performance.

Music Highlights
• Soirée 2014: The Full Circle (16 Mar) - Enjoy a thrilling evening of harmonica music performed by NUS Harmonica Orchestra, Singapore’s one and only full harmonica orchestra as they take you on a journey through some of the most significant film music today.
• Wanderlust (16 Mar) - Under the baton of Dr Robert Casteels, GENUS will present a concert of familiar and freshly composed tunes from 11 countries performed on the Niibori guitar.
• Chopin: Passion & Death (20 Mar) - This special concert brings together for the first time in Singapore the three great mature sonatas of Frédéric Chopin, featuring some of Singapore’s most exceptional young musical talents.
• Maestro (25 Mar) - tells the story of one composer’s journey as he struggles to make a living. NUS Piano Ensemble brings together the art of four-hand and eight-hand piano performance and theatrical storytelling.
• Highly Strung 4 (28 Mar) - Catch the fourth installment of Highly Strung, a 60-minute showcase, part of T’ang Quartet’s The Ensemble Dimension Project, where young musicians undergo radical and refreshed artistic growth.
• Chudar - Shiva's Fire (சுடர்) (29 Mar) - Through original music composed by famed Indian composer Mr B.V Balasai and choreography by Cultural Medallion artist Mrs Santha Bhaskar, NUS Indian Instrumental Ensemble and NUS Indian Dance present the story of Lord Shiva and the Goddess Parvati.
