Welcome to Mentored CEOs Growth Programme
Introduction
The Mentored CEOs Growth Program provides a wide range of mentoring support for all Start-Up@Singapore past participants from 1999, including teams prior to company incorporation, Startups with less than 1 year in operation, or even Startups which are more mature, say 3-4 years in existence.
The list of mentors are drawn from a wider pool within the S@S network, including senior venture professionals, business angels and business & industry executives from Corporate Brokers International, Infineon Technologies, Siemens, Transpac Capital, Greendot Internet Services, etc. The pilot was launched in August last year, involving 13 mentee companies and an equal number of mentors, across a diverse range of industries – wireless & telecommunication, consumer electronics, education & training, civil engineering, etc.
Why Mentored CEOs Growth Programme
A mentor can be an extremely powerful force in the life and career of an entrepreneur, providing both tangible advice and a role model for success. The Start-up@Singapore Mentored CEOs Growth Programme is designed to bring together aspiring entrepreneurs and young CEOs of start-up ventures from Start-Up@Singapore with dynamic, real business people who share a common interest and have the skills, contacts, or insight to help them develop their business plans and business ventures to a higher level. Through this program, we give Start-Up@Singapore participants the opportunity to learn from enthusiastic and dedicated entrepreneurs, technologists and professionals. We are also giving the business community a social forum to interact with aspiring entrepreneurs and young CEOs of start-up ventures and a chance to meet other entrepreneurial leaders. It extends beyond the team mentoring during the competition by allowing the mentors-mentees to work together even after the competition has finished, for a further 6-12 month period, and long after a team participation in Start-Up@Singapore.
