NUS Entrepreneurship Centre runs various startups growth program under its Start-Up@Singapore Enterprise Launcher program.
Currently into its sixth year of running, Start-Up@Singapore Business Plan Competition and Enterprise Launcher is a leading business launch pad for aspiring entrepreneurs in Singapore. It is run on a two-pronged approach - the Business Plan Competition and the Enterprise Launcher.
Start-Up@Singapore Business Plan Competition
Since 1999, Start-Up@Singapore Business Plan Competition has attracted more than 1175 teams, 3700 contestants, 15,000 participants, and spawned more than 40 start-up companies, including award-winning businesses like Friartuck, PerceptiveI, PurpleACE and Quantagen.
Today, Start-Up@Singapore reaches out to all institutes of higher learning and schools under Ministry of Education (except primary students), young graduates and working professionals.
With more than 40 business and industry partner organizations, close to 300 volunteer student organizers, speakers, mentors, and judges, Start-Up@Singapore is evolving into a national volunteer network and social enterprise that garners the support of the community in sowing the seeds of innovation and entrepreneurship.
It is jointly organized by the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, NUS Business School Alumni Association and the NUS Entrepreneurship Society.
Start-Up@Singapore Enterprise Launcher
Launched in 2004 by NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, the Enterprise Launcher segment brings together Start-Up@Singapore alumni (or past contestants, speakers, mentors & judges) for networking and experience sharing, and gives recognition to the best start-up companies based on Start-Up@Singapore Annual Survey.
It also brings together various venture support programs to help jumpstart business ventures from Start-Up@Singapore, including follow-up mentoring programs, business clinics and workshops, product & technology showcase, as well as investment forums.
Since 2005, the Enterprise Launcher has also become a part of Bluesky Festival by Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE), and is opened to the public for aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, innovators, small business & SME owners, as well as venturing professionals.
