About the Speaker
Mr Chua joined Walden International in 2003 as Managing Director. His main areas of focus are investments in the Internet, software, and electronics/digital consumer products in South Asia and Korea.
Prior to joining WI, he was Deputy President of NatSteel Ltd (a Singapore publicly listed conglomerate), and the CEO of Intraco Limited (a Singapore publicly listed trading house). From 1997 to 2000, he was a co-founder and President of MediaRing Ltd, a Voice-over Internet Protocol (“VOIP”) service provider and became the first Internet company to list its shares on the Singapore Exchange in 1999. Previously, he was involved in venture capital investments with the Mountain View, California office of Transpac. Mr Chua sits on the Board of Directors of Logitech International and Biosensors International Group, Ltd.
Mr Chua earned a M.S. in Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
