Abstract
Roderick has has been an entrpreneur for about 5 years. He will be speaking on "How to prepare yourself to start a venture?" as well as sharing his various venture experience.

About the Speaker
Roderick graduated from Nanyang Technological University in Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as obtained a graduate diploma in Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme from NTU and University of Washington. A is a serial entrepreneur and inventor, as well as the founding President of Innovators and Entrepreneurs Association (IdEA) of Singapore, Roderick led his management team into a series of entrepreneurial ventures which became their excellent track record. In 1998, they founded Postkid.com Pte Ltd, which became the largest online and offline education solution provider for schools in Singapore, and was later acquired by SGX-listed Horizon.com Ltd in 2000.

Roderick Chia is the Founder and Managing Director of Spiral Communications Pte Ltd. Spiral is a technology incubator with 3 investments, RIDN Pte Ltd, Lubaan international Pte Ltd, ST Consultancy Pte Ltd. The RIDN technology made Roderick the winner of the Tan Kah Kee's Young Inventors' Award for the fifth time. He was also finalist for Phoenix Award 2002 - an award to recognize entrepreneurial determination and strong leadership skills.

Roderick is a keen educator and has been involved in various committees to push innovation and entrepreneurship in Singapore. He has been invited to speak on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship at various institutions. His latest venture, ST Consultancy, dealing with Reality Simulation Training, takes players into the process of venture creation and management.
