About the Speaker
Mr Taur-Jiun Wong is the Chief Operating Officer of INTELLEIGEN, a consulting organization that delivers IP and business solutions for businesses and individuals to identify, manage and protect their intellectual assets for maximum returns. Mr Wong has been involved in corporate advisory and licensing for more than 10 years. He has extensive experience in business start-ups, joint ventures, strategic alliances, as well as mergers and acquisitions in Asia.
Prior to Intelleigen, Taur-Jiun held positions in multinationals such as SAP, Cargill and BOC. He is an experienced licensing executive, having acted for both licensors and licensees in the software industry. He also advised many multi-million dollar takeovers, direct investments, and joint ventures in Asia Pacific. Taur-Jiun was deeply involved in financial structuring, particularly in distressed assets as well as trade and structured finance in the Asia Pacific.
As the other founding member of Intelleigen, Taur-Jiun's current responsibility includes Intelleigen's daily operations, corporate development, finance and marketing. He also oversees the Intellectual Asset Management division and consults for clients who need assistance with commercializing their intellectual property. Mr Wong holds an MBA and an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.
