Henk HUIJSER is a Curriculum Designer in the Learning and Teaching Unit at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. He currently works with the Faculty of Science and Engineering using a Design Studio approach to Programme and Course Design.


Henk holds a PhD in Screen and Media Studies from the University of Waikato, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and has been an Academic Developer since 2005 in a variety of different higher education contexts, including the University of Southern Queensland, Bahrain Polytechnic in the Arabian Gulf, Batchelor Institute in the Northern Territory of Australia, and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China.


Henk is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Peer Learning, and publishes regularly and widely on SoTL-related projects. He is the co-author (with Megan Kek) of Problem-based Learning into the Future, which was published by Springer in 2017. For more information, see Henk’s ORCiD profile.
