I look forward to working with the SoTL-Asia community to enhance Science teaching and provide an exciting learning environment for all of our students.

 

 

Susan ROWLAND is an Associate Professor (Teaching Focused) in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences and is Deputy Associate Dean Academic (Future Students and Employability) for the Faculty of Science at UQ. She is responsible for developing and helping to deliver UQ Science activities around employability and the student experience.

 

Susan started her science career as a biochemistry researcher, but her group now focuses on the development of student professionalism and employability through undergraduate research experiences, work-integrated learning, and improved science communication.

 

Susan teaches biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology and is chair of the Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education Special Interest Group. She co-edits the Science Education section of Australian Biochemist magazine.
