Story
On 21 September 2025, a 20-strong Raffles Hall contingent—comprising five alumni and 15 undergraduates and staff—flew the NUS Cares banner high by supporting Blossom Seeds’ annual Ready, Set, Gold event at Marina Bay Sands. Alongside many seniors, community partners and volunteers, our team completed a 2 km walk that celebrated active ageing, community spirit and the power of togetherness.
The event was flagged off by Minister Ong Ye Kung, with MPs Vikram Nair and Mariam Jaafar in attendance, underscoring the national commitment to healthy living and intergenerational connection. Throughout the morning, Raffles Hall volunteers walked shoulder to shoulder with senior participants—cheering them on, offering encouragement, and embodying the values of empathy and service. Seeing our students and alumni support the seniors affirmed our belief that learning extends beyond the classroom, to build not just our skills but also hearts and connections. Every step we took today was a reminder that when we walk together, we go further not just for ourselves but for the people and communities around us.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Blossom Seeds for organising this impactful event year after year, and to our Raffles Hall family for showing up with energy, care, and commitment. Every step taken was a reminder that when we move together, we go further—not just for ourselves, but for the neighbourhoods and communities we serve.
Here's to many more meaningful journeys ahead. Together, let us keep moving forward with purpose and heart.
