This is a photo taken at the field that is now part of the Botanic Gardens. This is to remember Annabel Pennefather who put together a hockey team to compete in the inter Uni games in KL, Pantai Valley! Many of us had not really played hockey before but we were young and game. It poured that evening in Malaysia. We held them to a goalless draw. Mainly due to Annabel who whacked the ball up field whenever it got to her. She was the entire defence. And the other team knew it. I think she was sticked and had to leave the game to have her lip stitched up. It ended soon after that. I saw her after and she was unfazed. What a champion, my friend Annabel. We had fun and I will miss her.
