(Tuesday), 9.00am to 12.15pm.
This seminar will take place in a hybrid format, with the physical event co-hosted by NUS. International participants will be virtually attending simultaneously through the online platform for some of the sessions.
This seminar is co-organised by SHARE and NUS. The SHARE Programme is funded by the European Union.
The SHARE National Seminar explores current Higher Education (HE) developments and their relation to Qualifications Frameworks (QF) / Quality Assurance (QA) by engaging national education stakeholders of ASEAN Member States through dialogue. Particularly during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the higher education sector has demonstrated a need to address quality in HE from a new perspective. Flexibility, a focus on digital learning, and the demand to ensure universities’ resilience challenge existing dogmata and approaches. This phenomenon can be observed worldwide. To contribute to the increased need for dialogue between university leadership, policy makers and practitioners, SHARE is convening a seminar on “Ensuring Quality during Challenging Times” in Singapore.
The seminar aims to:
- Address the challenge of the delivery of Quality Assurance during and after the Covid-19 pandemic through more flexible QA measures;
- Enhance the resilience of the higher education system in delivering skills-based outcomes;
- Discuss opportunities associated with digital learning; and
- Facilitate sharing of perspectives and good practices between Singaporean stakeholders and ASEAN and European peers on these topics.
