LEE Ming Cherk is Senior Lecturer at the Centre for English and Language Communication where she teaches academic writing. She holds a Bachelor degree (Hons) in English and History from Leeds University, U.K., a Master degree in TESOL from Teachers College, Columbia University, U.S and a Doctorate in Education from Leicester University, U.K. She has taught English in Singapore and Hong Kong for many years and at many levels, ranging from vocational training to postgraduate studies. Her research interests include pedagogy, student engagement, discourse analysis and academic literacy. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and occasionally undertakes Chinese-English interpretation work.
