Jenson DEOKIESINGH recently completed his PhD from the Second Language Education Research Group at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. His work focuses on discrimination experienced by Anglophone Caribbean teachers in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) industry. His research interests include, but not limited to, critical applied linguistics, (de)coloniality, (anti-)racism, teacher identities, decolonising methodologies and World Englishes. He has over 10 years of teaching experience in Japan, Macau, Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom. He is the founder of the Decolonising Language Education Collective and advocates for a love ethic approach to teaching.
