Brenda YUEN is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for English Language Communication, where she teaches and coordinates a science communication module. She holds an MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics from the University of Cambridge (Chevening Scholarship), an MA in English Language Teaching and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Brenda is involved in the development and administration of large-scale English placement tests for NUS undergraduates and postgraduates, and assessment quality assurance through quantitative data analysis, particularly using Rasch analysis. Her key research areas are criterion-referenced assessment and feedback literacy development in higher education. Her recent research focuses on the impact of technology-enhanced dialogic feedback on student feedback literacy and writing competency development.
