Professor Audrey Yue

Audrey Yue is Head of Department and Professor in Media, Culture and Critical Theory in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore. Before joining NUS in July 2017, she lived in Australia for 30 years where she last held the positions of Professor in Cultural Studies and Director of the Research Unit in Public Cultures at the University of Melbourne. Her research covers the fields of Sinophone media cultures, cultural policy and development, and queer Asian studies.

Dr Margaret Tan

Margaret Tan is Senior Lecturer and Director of Programmes at Tembusu College, Research Fellow at Asia Research Institute, NUS, and Co-director of the NUS Art/Science Residency Programme. She holds a PhD from the Department of Communications and New Media, NUS, a Masters in Interactive Media and Critical Theory from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and a degree in Fines Arts from RMIT/Lasalle College of the Arts.
Margaret was a practising artist, working from a feminist perspective, using a wide range of media. Her works have been showcased, both locally and internationally, and she was resident artist in programmes such as the Cyberarts and Cyberculture Initiative, University Scholars Programme, NUS, and Artist-in-Labs Project, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Zurich, Switzerland.
