Shook 👁👄👁 is a contemporary theatrical performance created by NUS Stage, looking at the hopes, challenges and dreams of our times.
With the use of original text, movement, video and sound, the ensemble presents a polyphonic spectacle with a party of lovable and problematic characters, memes and moments for you to love and hate.
In a time of digital domination, gender upheaval, cancel culture, and environmental doom, let’s take a moment to be shook and be heard.
Join us. Be delighted, be inspired, be brave, be shook.
Shook will also be screened online in high-definition format between 29 March to 11 April and is free for viewing upon registration.
*Advisory: Strong language and adult themes. Recommended for 15 years and above
Audience Reviews
“It was a very well thought-out storyline and creative use of music and video with traditional stage.”
“I really appreciate the representation of queer folk and the struggles they face, because this is something often wiped from mainstream media.”
“I like how it brings attention to the current issues that Gen Z feels about that the previous generation did not address.”
