Join this 1.5-hour workshop by Grab to hear from GrabAds' media strategy lead on how branding and marketing could impact businesses and learn a few tricks to develop a successful campaign. You will also hear the experiences of a fellow NUS student who interned at Grab.

This workshop comprises the following parts.

Part 1: Introduction to Digital Marketing

  • Ecosystem of digital marketing and the types of online marketing
  • Marketing platforms and engines that drive brands online
  • Develop a successful campaign through storytelling and understanding digital native audiences
  • Define the challenges of digital marketing through problem statements
  • Measure the success of digital marketing strategy

Part 2: Find your Foothold in Digital Marketing

  • Learn from the experiences of Grab's Digital Marketing intern
  • Steps to succeed as a successful digital marketing expert

This workshop is open to students across all faculties from Year 2 onwards who have a passion and an interest in Digital Marketing. No technical skillset is required.

Sambashiva (Samba) is an Engineer by training and a Digital Strategist in practice.

With more than 11 Years in the Media Industry, his experience includes Software Development, Theatre & Event Management, Social Entrepreneurship & Startup-Consultancy.

Samba is currently @Grab leading the Media Strategy and Solutions for GrabAds and spends most of his weekdays pouring over Slides & Sheets with very little moderation on Coffee.

As the Media Strategy Lead, he oversees the full Integrated Marketing Solutions for Global and SEA's most Beloved Brands ranging from FMCG, F&B, Telco & Tech, eCommerce, Consumer Electronics, and other Key Verticals on Grab's Super App Ecosystem.

Over the weekend, Samba manifests his love for Road Safety at @puthelmet and channels his emotional investment into Cricket, Movies, and Brands at @putchutney.
