Research Assistant
We invite applications for the Research Assistant position, in blue carbon science. Prior experience in mangroves/seagrass research is an advantage.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Work within a team of researchers conducting blue carbon field measurements throughout Southeast Asia
- Collect and manage field data on blue carbon stocks and gaseous fluxes, with a particular focus on seagrass and mangrove ecosystems
- Liaise with corporate and academic partners interested in blue carbon
Research Fellow
We invite applications for two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions for a four-year study of the impacts of climate change on tropical tree demography and forest dynamics, with a focus on the primary and secondary forests in Singapore.
Candidates should have strong written and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, expertise in (ecosystem) demographic modelling, hydraulic functional traits and/or the design of common garden experiments, an established record of research and publication in (tropical) tree physiology and/or forest demography. Candidates with either experimental or modelling background are encouraged to apply.
