Liang Hanci
Academic qualifications
Master of Science in Biodiversity Conservation and Nature-Based Climate Solutions, National University of Singapore
Bachelor of Natural Science in Applied Physics, University of Science and Technology of China
Research areas
Seed dispersal, Plant-animal interactions, Machine learning models
Research interests
Hanci is generally interested in how plant-animal interactions shape the natural environment and how they will response to climate change in the future. She is now working on building a frugivory & seed dispersal database in tropical Asia and studying Asian hornbill frugivory pattern in particular.
Biography
Hanci is currently a first year PhD student in the Plant Ecology, Evolution & Biogeography Lab, supervised by Asst. Prof. Lim Jun Ying. She also did the master research project in the same lab, where she developed machine learning models to predict interactions between Asian hornbills and their food plant species.
