At Office of Finance, we oversee the planning and allocation of the University's financial resources. It formulates, reviews and analyses the University's operating, strategic, capital and all funds budget, expenditure and revenue policies, and develops and maintains supporting resource planning databases, systems and models.
We strive to ensure that the University's resource planning and allocation policies, processes and systems are in line with best practices of leading global universities. It partners other departments in their efforts to improve resource management. Through optimal allocation and management of resources, we assist NUS in achieving its key goals of excellence in education, research, intellectual thought leadership, enterprise and public service.
In addition, we provide financial and accounting services required by the University.
We seek to become a strategic partner to our stakeholders viz. students, faculty & staff and suppliers by creating value, improving operational efficiency and delivering high quality service.
When creating value, improving operational efficiency and delivering high quality service, our key responsibilities include connecting the strategy of the University to the financial resources, controlling the financial and accounting processes and systems, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and information for decision making, business partnering, treasury activities, financial systems development, and shared financial services for student billing, financial aid disbursement, payment processing and payroll.
