Keynote address by NERI Director, Assoc. Prof. Sanjay Swarup, at THE University Impact Forum focused on Accelerating Action on SDG 6 on 11 September 2023

Our Director, Assoc. Prof. Sanjay Swarup, was honored to deliver a keynote address on the topic "How can clean water and sanitation become universally accessible?" at THE University Impact Forum focused on Accelerating Action on SDG 6 on 11 September 2023. The Forum was hosted by Times Higher Education (THE) in partnership with United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).

In his presentation, Prof. Sanjay shared Singapore Water Story and the role of Singapore Universities, NUS and NTU, in innovative solutions and technical advisory during this transformation. He highlighted NERI's groundbreaking water research initiatives, which are the result of close collaborations between interdisciplinary research teams in partnerships with experts from local and international institutes, government agencies, and industry leaders that contribute towards water security. NERI is dedicated to pioneering sustainable innovative water solutions in overcoming the increasing climate change challenges.

The pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 6, which focuses on ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for all, is a shared global responsibility. Through collaborative research and dedicated innovation, we at NERI are committed to knowledge sharing and technology transfer within the region and internationally.
