Sharing Insights on Ecosystems Approach for Surface Freshwater Systems and for Restoration and Management of Natural Resources

Associate Professor Sanjay Swarup had the privilege to deliver two talks on ecosystem functioning-based solutions for surface fresh water systems and the ecosystem approach to restoration and management of natural resources on 12 September 2023 at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).

His vast experience in this field was shared through his presentations on:

  • “Developing Ecosystem Functioning-based Solutions for Surface Fresh Water Systems” at the One-Day Research Collaboration Symposium between UAE University and National University of Singapore (NUS), which was part of the NUS - UAEU Bilateral Research Collaborations program under the Asian Universities Alliance, and
  • "Restoration and Management of Dwindling Natural Resources Using an Integrative Ecosystems Approach: Lessons from Southeast Asia" at the Department of Biology, College of Science, UAEU.

The events were valuable platforms for gathering of passionate and like-minded researchers to explore continued collaboration and to make positive changes that will arise from our collective efforts.
