Our heartfelt congratulations to Associate Professor Karina Gin and her dedicated COVID-19 Wastewater Surveillance team at NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI) for receiving the COVID-19 RESILIENCE Medal.  In conjunction with this award, Prof. Gin’s laboratory facility was also bestowed the COVID-19 Resilience Certificate as the COVID-19 Wastewater Sampling and Testing Partner.

The two awards are the new national awards given by the Singapore Government in recognition the substantive contributions of those who participated directly in Singapore’s fight against COVID-19.

Their remarkable courage in facing the challenges of the pandemic and their unwavering commitment to working on the front lines of the NUS campuswide Wastewater Surveillance program, especially during the peak period of the pandemic are highly commendable. Their dedication and perseverance have made a significant impact on our community's safety.

Prof. Gin and her team remarkable achievements and invaluable services have done us proud.
