National University of Singapore (NUS), through its Environmental Research Institute (NERI), has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ripple2Wave Incubator (R2Wi) for the Innovation and Commercialization of Water Technology and Sustainability.

The signing ceremony took place on 20 June 2024 at the NUS booth during the Singapore International Water Week 2024. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our efforts to drive innovation and create sustainable solutions in the field of water technology.

Under this MOU, NUS and R2Wi will work together to explore and incubate potential new and emerging water-related technologies. This initiative also aims to nurture and support startups in the water technology sector, with a focus on translating research outcomes into commercially viable products and services.

One of the key aspects of this collaboration is the commercialization of intellectual properties (IPs) created by NUS researchers. By leveraging R2Wi's expertise in the startup ecosystem, we aim to maximize the potential of these IPs and facilitate their journey towards commercialization.

Furthermore, this partnership will foster greater engagement between researchers and students with the startup ecosystem. By providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange, we hope to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators in the water technology sector.
