Sky-to-Soil Integrative Framework

In order to bridge basic science with outcomes for field application and for policy development, we have adopted an unique “Sky-to-Soil” approach which:

Integrates field-based, laboratory/GHG based controlled and observatory studies for developing cause-and-effect relationships.

Connects different scales from macro-to-micro, small-to medium-sized laboratory, GHG and plot scales to large field-based scenarios. This is achieved through a combination of high-density data used in advanced mechanistic and process modelling.

Establishes predictive models key for policy developers and the plantation industry of both large and small sizes. Predictive models are being developed for their applications, using a combination of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
