Mr Nestor Precioso (Science '06)

Nestor Precioso is a scientist turned patent agent. He founded Techmatch Asia Inc., an intellectual property consultancy that has filed and successfully prosecuted over 300 IP applications with the IP Office of the Philippines. He was recognised in last year’s Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000 for his patent prosecution practice.

Prior to setting up Techmatch, Nestor led operations for Philippine startups in the edtech and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) space. He was also IP manager at Nestlé’s R&D centre in Singapore, where he was responsible for protection planning and contract management. Before that, he was with an enterprise development agency of the Singapore government, managing a grant programme for tech startups and the commercialisation of innovative technologies.

Nestor holds an MSc in Management of Technology and a BSc (Hons.) in Life Sciences (Biomedical Science) from the National University of Singapore. He currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the NUS Overseas Chapter Manila.
