Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

The Faculty of Dentistry offers a four-year full-time undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree. Students who consistently perform well in their professional examinations across the four years may be considered for the BDS (Honours) degree. The NUS BDS degree is recognised by the Singapore Dental Council for registration to practise in Singapore. Upon graduation, BDS graduates will begin their careers in dentistry in the public sector during the period of their bond.

Overseas Enrichment Programme (OEP)

The Overseas Enrichment Programme (OEP) broadens our students’ experience by exposing them to other cultures and different learning environment.  All Year 3 students have the opportunity to spend 1-2 weeks in an overseas university in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Japan or China.

Mentorship

All undergraduates will be assigned a Faculty staff who will mentor, coach and guide them over the course of the BDS course.
