The Asian Conference on Safety & Health in Laboratory (ACSEL) is an annual conference organised by leading universities in Asia to provide a platform for scientists, engineers, researchers and professionals across the glove to exchange knowledge on best practices and seek collaboration to enhance safety and health in research and education.
The 9th Asian Conference on Safety and Education in Laboratory was held in conjunction with the 5th NUS Safety, Health and Environment Conference in 2022.
The conference theme was “Reinventing Safety and Health for a Resilient Tomorrow”. The conference was well attended by over 200 participants from 26 organizations and 5 countries. The conference with 4 plenary talks, 17 oral presentations and 27 poster presenters provided a vibrant platform for safety and health professionals, academic and researchers to share best practices and establish collaborations.
We had the priviledge of having Mr Christopher Koh, General Manager, Workplace Safety and Health Council as the Guest-of-Honour for the conference. The keynote address was given by Dr Peck Thian Guan, Deputy Chief Risk Officer, NUS.
