About ROAD

Risk and Opportunities Awareness Day (ROAD) conference is a one-stop risk knowledge sharing session for NUS staff to learn deep insights on world-class risk management practices from our esteemed NUS speakers. Topics covered include risk management and compliance in research, geopolitical risks for academics and researchers, as well as the various areas of risks and opportunities to help our NUS community build resilience.

In our recent ROAD Conference, we’re pleased to have NUS President, Prof Tan Eng Chye, to grace the inaugural event; Deputy President (Administration), Mr Clarence Ti, for the welcome speech; Deputy President (Research & Technology), Prof Chen Tsuhan, for the keynote address, as well as our honoured speakers – Dean of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Prof Danny Quah; Chief Research Compliance Officer & Chief Research Integrity Officer, Prof Philip Keith Moore; Director of Research from the Office of the Deputy President (Research and Technology), Prof Chan Eng Soon; and Director of Health & Wellbeing, Dr Andrew Epaphroditus Tay.
