##: NUS will adopt three new academic terminologies from 1 August 2023 - “Module” will be renamed “Course”, “Modular Credit (MC)” will be renamed “Unit”, and “Cumulative Average Point (CAP)” will be renamed “Grade Point Average (GPA)”. # The title for Integrated Honours Thesis or Integrated Honours Dissertation will depend on the DDP student’s home faculty. Students who are not able to find a common topic for integrate dissertation / thesis are to read one dissertation and one thesis to fulfil the degree requirements of Business and CNM respectively.
BBA(Hons) & BSocSci(Hons) students are required to read the Integrated Honours Dissertation / Thesis of 15 MCs and another 13 MCs of Common Modules - 8 MCs from BIZ and 5 MCs from CNM.
DDP students from intakes 2011, 2012 and 2013 are NOT allowed to exercise S/U option for modules offered by NUS Business School. These include business modules that students take as extra modules. Students can only exercise S/U options for the GEMs and SS modules offered by NUS Business School.
USP Requirements
University Scholars Program (USP) students must satisfy the same USP requirements as needed for a single-degree program.
The Advanced Modules can be drawn from either the FASS program or the Business program, or a combination of both.
A USP Writing and Critical Thinking Module can be taken in place of the BBA Foundation Module ES2002 Business Communication. Students who want to map other USP modules to the double degree program should seek the approval of the FASS and BIZ.
Candidature & Leave
The maximum period of candidature will be six years. The two degree programs must be undertaken and completed within a single continuous candidature period (save for the usual provisions for leave of absence). At least half of the MCs in the double degree program must be from NUS modules.
