Applicants must fulfil the admission requirements for both degree
programmes in order to gain admission. The requirements are as
follows:
LLM Degree
• A good Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum TOEFL iBT
Total score of 100. (Candidates who have obtained an iBT Total score of 92-99 or
minimum IELTS (Academic) overall band score 7.0 may also apply. However, they
may be invited to attend an interview or be required to undertake a prescribed
intensive English language training course, prior to commencing law studies.)
MPA/MPP Degrees
• A good NUS honours degree (second class and above) or
equivalent (e.g., a four-year Bachelor's degree with at least an
average grade of B or equivalent); or
• A good Bachelor's degree.
• Other qualifications and experience subject to approval by the
Board of Graduate Studies and
• Good command of the English Language* (minimum TOEFL iBT score
of 100, TOEFL PBT score of 600, or IELTS Academic Test score of
7.0 )
*Applicants with qualifications attained in English-medium institutions in Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, the UK or the US are exempted from providing test scores. For qualifications attained in countries not mentioned, if your Bachelor or Master degree was conducted entirely in English, TOEFL or IELTS test scores may be waived if you provide a letter from your institution.

Additional Requirements
MPA Degree
• At least five years of relevant work experience
MPP Degree
• Two to five years of work experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate maturity and commitment towards the public service.
• Preferably have some background in Mathematics and Economics
NOTE: If applicants are unsuccessful in the double degree
application (LLM-MPP/MPA), they may be considered for the single LLM
coursework programme or the single MPP/MPA programme.
For the LLM-MPA, students must apply to the LLM-MPA double degree
programme prior to starting either programme. For the LLM-MPP,
students from both schools can apply to the double degree programme
in the first year of their LLM or MPP study.
Application Procedures
Applicants MUST submit separate applications to the
Faculty
of Law and the
Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy for LLM and MPP/MPA
degree programmes respectively to be considered for the double
degree programme.

documents submitted are non-returnable. Unless we specifically
request for enclosures/attachments to be submitted via an e-mail,
such documents will not be opened or saved if received through
e-mails.
