These are exciting times for those who teach. Our educational landscape now contains the latent potential for teachers to co-create knowledge with their students and to shift traditional boundaries in other ways. I see myself as a teacher who empowers students with agency, partnering with them as we create vibrant interdisciplinary knowledge-building communities both in and outside of the classroom. This approach facilitates self-directed and collaborative learning. I particularly enjoy taking students on experiential learning journeys in Southeast Asia, where the dynamic young economies of our neighbors intersect with the challenges of sustainability, providing fertile ground for shifting mindsets and understanding Singapore’s context.

I have a passion for educational technology and AI. I see technology as a means to strengthen what we already do well, especially as a catalyst for ideation and innovation. My aspiration is to instill in my students the values and skills that will enable them to thrive in the world not only during their time at university but also long after they graduate.
