Rick Glofcheski has been teaching law at the University of Hong Kong for more than 25 years, primarily tort law and labour law. He has also taught criminal law, medical law, contract law and legal system. He is the author of Tort Law in Hong Kong (Hong Kong: Sweet and Maxwell Asia, 3rd edn, 2012, 918 pp), co-author and co-editor of Employment Law and Practice in Hong Kong (Sweet & Maxwell Asia, 2nd edn, forthcoming May 2016, 1082 pp), Editor-in-Chief of Hong Kong Law Journal and co-editor of Scaling Up Assessment for Learning in Higher Education in the series: The Enabling Power of Assessment (Springer, 2016). In recognition of his achievements in teaching and learning, Rick was selected for the inaugural University Outstanding Teaching Award (2009), the inaugural University Distinguished Teaching Award (2010), the inaugural Hong Kong-wide University Grants Committee Teaching Excellence Award (2011). In 2016, he was recognized again with the award of University Distinguished Teacher.
