“I believe intrinsic motivation is critical for a joyful and meaningful learning experience. I strive to create a journey where my students are curious and questioning; exploring learning pathways; and using what they have learned to navigate the path ahead.”

I am an Associate Professor (Education) at the Department of Economics. Currently, I am a part of the Social Service Research Centre, the FASS Teaching Excellence Committee (FTEC), and the FASS Promotion in Educator Track Committee (FPEC).

I graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in Economics and from Brown University with a Ph.D. in Economics. I teach introductory and intermediate microeconomics, labor economics, public economics, and the economics of inequality.

About being a part of the Teaching Academy

I look forward to developing new learning communities and collaborating with like-minded colleagues who are interested in constructivist learning, experiential learning, and the pedagogy of play.
