Tan Yuen Ling Lynette

Lynette is the Director of Studies at Residential College 4 (RC4) where she launched a course that brings together systems thinking and film studies. She was also a Resident Fellow (RF) and Associate Director of Student Life at RC4 for 7 years. She is one of the pioneering members of the RF team at LightHouse, NUS, where she leads the "Iced Milo, Kopi, Teh?" pillar. Alongside student leadership, she fosters community bonds through curated House-wide activities. Lynette is recognized on both the Residential College and University-wide (Annual Teaching Excellence Award) honor rolls. Her research focuses on student motivation, student-centered teaching approaches, out-of-classroom learning, blended learning, and educational technology, such as gamification. Her current research centers around edutainment as a means to promote behavioral change, addressing ageism and challenging stereotypes related to mental illness.
