SMOKING CESSATION PROGRAMME
Smoking is the leading cause of preventable diseases with smoking-related mortality on the rise. A vast majority of smokers wish to quit but often find it difficult to do so.
UHC conducts twice-yearly smoking cessation workshops which aims to provide information to increase awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco use on one's health and the impact on expenditure of tobacco consumption.
Smokers will also learn how to set realistic goals towards a smoke-free plan and overcome obstacles to stay tobacco-free.
Making the decision to quit smoking is the single most important step that a smoker can take to enhance the quality of one's life.
