CARE

There is a University Crisis and Emergency Management (CEM) Team that is responsible for the safety and security of the NUS community on campus.

CARE (Caring Action in Response to an Emergency) Network is an integral part of the CEM Team. Members of Faculty and Staff are selected by the Unit Incident Commander (UIC) to provide logistical support in an event of a critical incident or crisis.

Please refer to the staff portal - Sports, Wellness, Arts & Culture section for more details and guidelines in managing the psychological aspects when handling serious injury or death.

Members will also need to undergo a half day training to learn basic skills in supporting individuals in crisis situations.

If you would like to be a CARE member, please contact your Faculty’s UIC to indicate your interest. Alternatively, you may like to log onto the staff intranet portal for more information about the University’s Crisis Management Framework.
