ALSET Directors, Prof Lakshminarayanan Samavedham, Dr Patricia Chen, and Prof Min-Yen Kan, were honoured to join the task forces and curating team of the Future of Adult Learning Research Symposium organised by the Institute of Adult Learners (IAL), on 14-15 November 2019.
There were two rich days of discussion and presentations from outstanding experts. We have heard about Adult learners’ mindset, changes in the Labor Market and use of Learning analytics - but also explored the economic impact of climate change, the learning culture in Smart Cities and the educational benefits of avatars and other digital innovations - among others! Several NUS-ALSET members participated in the event and our team is looking forward to developing more collaborative projects with academic and policy partners on these topics.
