Water and Wastewater R&D for Water-Energy Nexus

About the Talk

Effective management of water-energy nexus is essential for sustainable development, particularly in urban areas facing water scarcity and energy shortage. Water and wastewater treatment and water reclamation are essential components of modern water infrastructure, but are also energy-intensive and thus contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. There is a critical need for novel processes and systems that maximize resource recovery, energy efficiency, and environmental benefits. This presentation will focus on innovative water and wastewater treatment and reclamation processes, researched and developed by Center for Water Research at CDE, NUS, aiming to create a hub for cutting-edge research and practical applications that align well with national and global net zero goals.
