Since its founding in 2003, the Yong Siew Toh (YST) Conservatory has quickly established a reputation as Asia's most exciting international conservatory and one of the world's most distinctive. Centred on nurturing artistic identity as a driver for excellence, it offers full-time tertiary programmes alongside NUS-wide and community platforms. YST students and alumni are visible within and beyond Singapore as performers, composers, producers and community leaders. A dazzling building
With its elegant glass structure and tall beams, the Conservatory building is always a majestic sight to behold, by day or by night.
A space abuzz with events
The Foyer's high ceilings, criss-crossing beams, natural light and pleasing view make it a great photo-taking spot, and also the venues for Senior Dinners and other Conservatory events.

Performances galore!
The 573-seater Conservatory Concert Hall is ideal for orchestral and chamber music-making alike. Across weekly Noon Recitals, Junior and Senior recitals, as well as studio and ensemble concerts, students have rich opportunities to take the stage at YST. Watch a student performance →

A place for world music
The Workshop is where modules in world music (including Balinese gamelan and Indian music) are often held.
Steven Baxter Recital Studio
This Studio is an intimate performance space suitable for chamber music, solo recitals and lectures, as well as for online masterclasses. It houses a Steinway piano, a harpsichord and fortepiano.
Seminar Rooms
YST has 8 Seminar Rooms, designed specifically for lectures and discussions. Each room is fully equipped with sound systems and projectors for presentations.
Honing production skills
Our Dolby Atmos HE mix studio offers an immersive audio setup that further supports our students' development of production skillsets for a variety of industry contexts.
Practice Rooms
With 35 practice rooms available for YST students through online booking, the Conservatory offers ample facilities for you to hone your craft.
Where production comes alive
The Conservatory Recording Studio allows Audio Arts & Sciences students to gain first-hand production experience. Its acoustical environment is ideal for both classical and modern music production, and our Dolby Atmos HE mix studio allows mixing in surround sound.

Orchestra Hall
The Conservatory Orchestra Hall regularly houses chamber music and solo recitals. Its acoustically-treated walls and large open space also make it an ideal space for large ensemble rehearsals. Watch a student performance →
