Programme Structure

LLM Degree

A candidate for the LLM degree is expected to complete 40 units. Students who are not trained in Common Law are required to read Singapore Common Law of Contract (4 units).

LLM students who select a specialisation are required to read 24 units of subjects belonging to the relevant specialisation. The double degree programme will be applicable to the following LLMs:

LLM (without specialisation)
LLM (Asian Legal Studies)
LLM (Corporate & Financial Services Law)
LLM (International & Comparative Law)
LLM (Intellectual Property & Technology Law)
LLM (Maritime Law)


MPA Degree

A candidate for the MPA degree is expected to complete 40 units comprising five core courses and six electives courses. At least 2 of the electives must be from the Management and Leadership category.

PP5801 Economic Analysis (4 units)
PP5802 Policy Analysis (4 units)
PP5803 Public Management (4 units)
PP5804 Governance Study Project (GSP) (4 units)
PP5010 LKY School Course (0 units)

MPP Degree

A candidate for the MPP degree is expected to complete 72 units comprising seven core courses (or equivalent), nine elective modules and a Policy Analysis Exercise (equivalent to 8 units).

The seven core courses in the MPP degree are:

PP5101 Economics and Public Policy I
PP5102 Economics and Public Policy II
PP5103 Political and Organisational Analysis
PP5104 Empirical Analysis for Public Policy OR
PP5138 Statistical Techniques for Public Policy
PP5105 Public Policy Research and Evaluation
PP5111 Introduction to Public Policy and Analysis
PP5137 Public Management and Leadership
