Celebrating Singaporeans’ Global Achievements in Research and Innovation

Singaporean researchers have earned themselves a strong global reputation for research and development over the years. From conducting basic research at prestigious universities to innovating within industries, Singaporean researchers are increasingly being recognised for the impact they are making in biotechnology and medical science, materials science, artificial intelligence and data science, as well as the humanities, economics and social sciences.

Singapore has also grown into a global R&D hub and a hotspot for global R&D centres. Our strategic location in the heart of Asia, the conducive business environment, supportive government and the drive to create a Smart Nation make us an attractive location as a global innovation hub. In fact, Singapore is now ranked among the top 10 locations for innovation centres worldwide, according to technology consulting and outsourcing services provider Capgemini.

NUS plays an integral role in the overall research and innovation landscape in Singapore. The University strives to nurture young researchers so they graduate with a competitive edge and are well placed to translate their research into innovative technologies and policies that shape our future.

The inaugural Singaporean Researchers Global Summit (SRGS) is a celebration of Singapore's global achievements in research and innovation. The two-day summit will bring together Singaporean IHLs and Singaporean researchers from around the world to share their passion and discuss their experiences both at home and abroad.
