- Chairs the Board of Directors, Health Sciences Authority, Singapore; co-chairs the Board, Singapore Clinical Research Institute; serves on the Board, National Medical Research Council; serves on the Singapore Medical Council
- Serves on the Board, the Hastings Center, and represents Singapore in the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, the Association of Academic Health Centers International, and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Tropical Medicine and Public Health (SEAMEO TROPMED) Network
- Jointly founded the Cancer Therapeutics Research Group and served as a member of the International Education Council for Molecular Targeted Therapy for Cancer, the American Society of Clinical Oncology International Affairs Committee, and the International Oncology Foundation Advisory Board
