The Undergraduate Research Coordinating team (UGRC) from the Office of the Provost cordially invites all who are involved with education at NUS to our UROP+REx Conference 2025 which will take place on 22nd January 2025 at the Medicine+Science Library. 

Why take part in UROP+REx Conference 2025? 

As a UGRC organised conference which is led by the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education, the UROP+REx Conference is a platform of encouragement and motivation for aspiring student researchers who are committed to NUS undergraduate research to network and learn from each other. It offers an opportunity for NUS undergraduate students to discuss their perspectives with fellow undergraduates and accomplished researchers as they continue to explore new innovations and approaches towards research learning. 

Call for Submissions 

The UGRC team invites you to submit your abstracts, on either of the following topics, to be considered for inclusion in the conference programme: 

Topic 1: Reflections of an Undergraduate Researcher 

For students to reflect and review their undergraduate research experience, challenges and how they overcame them, suggestions on how to nurture the undergraduate research community.  

Topic 2: UROP Project Showcase  

For undergraduates who have completed their UROP project and are interested in sharing their research work with NUS students and staff, this conference is organised as an opportunity for them to do so. 

Presentation Formats  

Two presentation formats are available:  

Format A: Oral Presentation – 15-minute presentation + 5 minute QnA 

Format B: Poster Presentation – Each presenter will be presenting a 2-minute elevator pitch to the audience before the start of the poster session.
