About the speakers:
Ian Lau (Arts and Social Sciences '12)
Director, Brunswick Group
Ian provides trusted counsel to some of the region's most respected corporate leaders. An experienced strategist in investor relations, media engagement and corporate communications, he believes that you must connect first if you are to productively contribute. Adaptive, candid and highly responsive, Ian has a deeply empathetic nature that underpins his advisory work with clients across sectors, including energy and resources, financial services, education and healthcare.
Ian joined Brunswick after a successful tenure at a boutique investor relations firm where he managed a portfolio of small to mid-cap companies listed on regional stock exchanges. Before that, he was a corporate banker at OCBC.
May Wong (Arts and Social Sciences '90)
Regional Lead, Talent Acquisition, Barclays Bank PLC
May is currently the APAC Talent Acquisition Lead at Barclays Bank PLC where she oversees all resourcing needs for the region.
She has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years in various HR roles, including HR business partnering, employee engagement, organisational restructuring, performance management, mentoring and succession planning.
