Mr Loo Cheng Chuan (Arts & Social Sciences ’97)
Founder, 1M65 Movement
Mr Loo Cheng Chuan developed the 1M65 ($1 Million by 65 years old) CPF investment strategy that is helping many Singaporean couples to become millionaires at retirement. Through his public talks and regular writings on 1M65, Mr Loo hopes to help many Singaporeans achieve financial independence. He was one of the few non-civil servants to be awarded the Public Sector Transformation Award in 2018 for his 1M65 efforts.
Mr Loo graduated with a First Class Honours in Economics and won the Book Prize for Statistics. He was on the Dean's List throughout his years as an undergraduate in NUS. Mr Loo runs a 1M65 Telegram group with over 26,000 subscribers and a YouTube channel where he regularly shares his analysis of the economy and good personal finance virtues.
