Event Details

We spend a third of our lives sleeping (even more so for the young), yet we don’t spend enough time understanding and learning about sleep and its problems. Join Dr Daniel Goh (Medicine '88), Dr Michael Lim and Dr Mahesh Babu Ramamurthy from Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute at the next webinar, who will share tips for parents and caregivers in:

  • Identifying when sleep is abnormal in your child;
  • Understanding the importance of sleep in children;
  • When and where to seek help for your child’s sleep problems; and
  • Basic strategies to ensure a good night's sleep for your child.

Dr Daniel Goh completed medical studies at the National University of Singapore and trained in Paediatrics in Singapore. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Paediatric Pulmonology and Sleep at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Centre (US). His clinical interest is in childhood respiratory conditions, including childhood asthma and allergies, sleep habits and practices in children across different cultures, sleep-related breathing disorders and paediatric bronchology, fiberoptic bronchoscopy and vaccinology.

Dr Michael Lim graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and the College of Chest Physicians (US). Dr Lim is dually-accredited in Paediatrics and Paediatric Respiratory Medicine in the UK, and has specialist accreditation in Paediatric Medicine in Singapore. Dr Lim has published in the fields of paediatric pulmonology, sleep, and critical care medicine. His main clinical interests are in childhood respiratory illnesses and sleep medicine.

Dr Mahesh Babu Ramamurthy

Dr Mahesh Babu Ramamurthy's clinical interests include childhood respiratory conditions, including asthma and allergies, flexible paediatric bronchoscopy and sleep studies. He has been a coordinator and member of the consensus committee in framing the National Guidelines for Bronchial Asthma in Children, the National Guidelines for Rational Therapy of Respiratory tract infection in children and the National Guidelines for diagnosis and management of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in children, in India. He delivered two Oration lectures and at least 300 lectures as Guest speaker and invited faculty in various National conferences and Forums in India. Dr Mahesh was also involved in the setting up of the first Paediatric Sleep Lab in India.
