NUS’ Department of Southeast Asian Studies is proud to present a Balinese feast for the senses with
Genggong: The Frog Prince of Bali.
A mesmerizing performance featuring students of SE2224: Unmasked! An Introduction to Traditional Dance in Southeast Asia who learnt the art of Genggong in Bali. The students will be joined by over 40 performers from Bali and Singapore.
Genggong is a traditional dramatic form involving dance, comedy, music and story-telling. It is unique to the village of Batuan in Bali. Come and be transported to the rice fields of Batuan and the palace of the Frog Prince in this fascinating drama!
